When your bestie has a baby. Their very first...I can't really describe it. It's like family is being born. It is family being born!  I've been waiting for Suzy to become a mommy for...ev...er. And to see her with little Huds and all the new and firsts she is experiencing makes my heart happy. I love watching her be a mommy and I love being able to experience all the  that mommy hood has to offer together.

What a wonderful year it has been...full of all kinds of memories! I am so blessed by your friendship! Always. There is no other who knows me from my core, like the way you do. You've got my back. You listen. Cry with me, for me. Understand my pains and joys and successes. This is why you are so special, because you are selfless. Your heart is huge. Your smile gorgeous. Your spirit, contagious. My sister from another mother...Happy Birthday. 21 + 10!

A Girls Night Out

Saturday I planned a little outing for the girls.

Some vino, EAT PRAY LOVE, and possibly some more vino.

Little did I know that a movie wasn't the most exciting thing these girls wanted to do.

AND what was I thinking sitting in a dark room with some of my favorite females...with no conversation.

So....I pull out a bottle of wine from my purse and we take some of these:

Then a couple hours later...the mommas with tank top and tennis shoes came out.

I got in a little trouble from my baby's daddy.

Our friendship blossomed in our high school years

In one entry you wrote about this frat boy named Zeb
With hoop earrings attached to his head
On a coaster he asked you out
But God had a plan for you to find Zeb again on a different route
Then came Ari, the sweetest and greatest girl
She’s brought joy to our lives and world
Ari’s so remarkable because of you
I’m so proud of you as a mom, I love me some Meme and Lulu!
We travelled far and met in Spain
Where all the locals thought us two blondes were lame
“Me gusta chocolate ice cream per favor?”
Our broken Spanglish was to die for
Fast forward to a few years later
What the future to hold, you weren’t so sure
We spent time exploring different spots in Kirkland
Redhook movie nights, M’s games, you were sure to find a man
Little did you know Zeb would peek his head in
At all of these random spots, your new life was to begin

a date night

I had a date night tonight with my bff. dinner. wine. movie. wine to go. teenage vampire movie. we loved it. of course we did. we are 30 (one of us almost is) and we talked. a lot. almost missed the start. but we got to-go soup cups for our wine. did i mention we laughed? i needed it. thanks suzy.

it is kind of weird that we are all grown up. suz. we are grown up! you are a teacher. you educate kids. you mold and create minds. you foster values. i love that we can go to teenage movie with our to go cups and laugh our asses off.

i hope ari meets a suzy in 7th grade line dancing class....
