Every month Ari has Market at school (where they are able to buy other students crafts with the fake money they earn, pretty cool if you ask me). And this month, she partnered with a buddy who was making Cake Pops. Sooooooo, that meant we had to make some of these little yummy balls as well.... and I just happen to have a couple for breakfast.
Side note: Coaster Boy takes Ari to school every morning (love him) and there were some tears on the way to school. Let's just say, said cake pops didn't survive a little bump in the road and they went flying. Thankfully, all survived but one.
Zeb said, there were 2 minutes of tears. This makes me giggle. I love him. I can totally picture them on the side of the road picking up these dang little balls. How the heck are you supposed to transport them? I stuck them all in a styrofoam ball...
They are really stinkin cute. And good. Next time, less frosting.
I would totally make these for a wedding, baby shower, birthday....

Bakin' and Craftin'
I love me some crafts. And someday I will have a craft room...someday. After BB has a room and we have a dog. I have my priorities.
But any who, Ari's homework this week is to do a service project for someone. So we will be delivering puppy chow to some of her fav peeps! I love this kind of stuff.
If I could, I would deliver flowers for a living and walk dogs. And never wear shoes. But always have a pedicure.

Weekend Craft (With Instructions!)
I thought this would take no time at all.
Cut, glue, stick...cut, glue, stick. Three hours later...whhaaalaaa.
I do love it.
I just need to purchase smaller balls.
A little crafty ornament tutorial.
Step 1: Supplies
1. Felt sheets (I picked purple, red and blue)
2. Styrofoam balls (any size, I prefer the 2 inchers)
3. Ribbon
4. Scissors
5. Glue Gun
All materials purchased at Michaels for $12!
Step 2: Outline
Use chalk to outline a flower shape. (I free hand this part but this makes it easier for kids to cut out the shapes)
Step 3: Cut
I cut out three sheets of flowers! The bigger balls require more flowers.
Step 4: Glue
I glue the ribbon directly to the ball and wrap the ball with the scraps of the flower cut outs...this makes it easier to glue.
Fold the flower in half, then fold in half again.
Step 6: Cut again
Cut the bottom point off the flower (this is where you will glue)
Step 6: Glue flowers to ball!
Almost done!!
Love em. Plan on making a ton more!
The 2 inch balls only took me an hour...which was far better than the three incher!
Craft away my dears.

Headboard
Done and done!
I feel so, so, so grown up.
My mattress has been on the ground since I moved back to Seattle (six years ago!)...and I haven't had a big girl bed for a very, very, very long time!
AND it takes me forever to decide on something I like...hence we are still sitting at patio furniture for dinner. Next up, homemade table.
Coaster Boy and I decided to make our very own headboard. You can see the start here and the finished product....

I feel so accomplished.
I sewed all those buttons on...
We hung it slightly too high the first go around.
But now, it is just perfect!

Hi Monday
I've had a good start to the week with some killer yoga this morning. I had the "yeller"...which is always fabulous first thing Monday morning. She always kicks my butt, perhaps cuz I can hear her so well.
I made a little something,something for Ari and I.
It looks really snickin cute on her.
I plan to make about ten more for my own wrist.

Reduce. Reuse. Remarkably Cute.
Ok peeps. I have one crafty friend. You got to look at these reusable snack bags. SO CUTE! AND what a great idea.
Not only does she do snack bags...she does place mats!
NOT only that...she does amazing stationary. AMAZING (she did my 30th bday party invites).
