Walking to School

I have to say, I don't blog enough on the single mom topic and I think I should start. I mean I find so many things about my situation normal...and they so aren't.

I don't think this has anything to do with what I just wrote...but I think its funny.

I walk Ari to school everyday from Terriyaki Madness (Madiness according to Ari) and we hop out of the car and treck down the hill to her school where I drop her off and have my morning chat with Charolette who always has something to show me. Today...new cloths. She was wearing pink! She never wears pink. Ari and Charolette hug like they haven't seen eachother in years every morning. I just love that. As I leave the class room line up I'm always smiling...the kids are at the best age. They all love eachother so much and have something to brag about. Today Ari brought in her pet parrot to show and tell....i really hope it doesn't creep everyone out like it does me.

So back to my funny story. After dropping Ari off I walk back to my car...up the hill and today it was raining...and all I had was Ari's lady bug umbrella. So up the hill i went...in my boots and skinny jeans and the lady bug umbrella...giggling to myself as the cars passed by. Nice umbrella :)

HA!

Oh the joys of being a momma to a five year old. I wouldn't trade it for the world.
