The Sibs

Oh my. The love (and hate) that these kids have for each other is something else. Some days are good. Some days are bad. Some days there is mad love and others...well not so much.

One of my favorite thing briggs does to quinn: Hi baby sister, I lob you, did you sleep good. good.

One of my favorite things briggs does to ari: Sissy's room, snuggle.

This week

Can't believe it's already Friday. Almost.
This week flew by. What even happened??!!
Briggs cried today when I took him to preschool.
Ari didn't have soccer practice Monday because they did so well in their game Saturday.
My dad was in town this weekend.
I made everyone dinner Tuesday night.
The weather has been so amazing.
I've gone to a park 27 times in the last 5 days.
Quinn. Quinn had her 2 month shots and cried the most I've ever heard her cry.
Ari starts basketball next week. So that means soccer mon/wed. Bball Tues/Thurs. F.
Life is so busy. I never shower. I'm lucky when I do. I feel like it's a mini vacation...unless of course Briggs showers with me...which happens 2 out of the 3 times I shower a week. LOLOLOL.
I bought a 24 pack of blue moon for no good reason at costco....
I finally bought a rain jacket. The first rain jacket I've owned since moving back to Seattle almost 9 years ago. Which brings up another crazy stat. 9 years ago?!??!

I am so in love with these days. I mean when Briggs is digging in the dirt in his fresh clean outfit and won't come inside and yells at me for a spoonful of nutella and peanut butter I might have a spout of anger...but deep deep down, I'm liking where I am at. Life is messy, loud, dirty.

Ball Girls

Every year these ladies pull out their best ball girl skills for Suzy's soccer games. It always fun for them to be on the field, right next to the players. Go Kangs!

6th Grade - School Pic

SHINE BOX.
Ari definitely inherited the shine box from her momma.

She handed me her pics and said I'm so shiny. I said, we call that the shine-box, you got that from your very own momma! We laughed.
6th grade. Middle school! 11.5 years old.

life

oh man.
tomorrow quinn is 2 months old. 2 months. she seems huge and happy. and not real. she got her first cold and now giggles. what? i am seriously in love with her. its so different with #3. i'm not as scared. less paranoid. feeling so very grateful. cheese ass ball. i know.

briggs is finally not being so crazy towards her. i mean he still touches her eyeballs and rocks the crap out of her car seat... but he's gotten so much better.  he loves mrs. kristy his very first teacher and going to school. he doesn't really tell me anything about his time at school. the teacher told me he was a leader. let's see if he bites or pinches anyone by next month after he feels nice and comfy there.

ari. my little lulu seriously isn't little anymore. she is so in middle school. like totally. like oh my gosh, IKR (i know right)....I find myself saying I know right to grown women. ugh. she's in full soccer mode. almost half way through the season. they haven't lost. she's loving school and the bus and i'm loving her instgram post. that girl loves her quotes.

coaster boy. oh zebby. he definitely gets the short end of the stick, but lately...i'm madly in love with him. i also wanted to kill him about a month ago. i think it takes a good month or two to figure out having another person in your life. no matter how amazing and easy they are, it's taken time to adjust to splitting my time with another little human.

Day 1

First day of school pics. This year I didn't take Ari's picture in front of her school sign. I think she would have let me...but I was doing her a favor and letting that slide.
Lucky me, she didn't really want new school clothes. I begged her to get some new things, which she is wearing. Love this girl.

Middle School

Arianna Joi! You my little lady are starting middle school tomorrow. TOMORROW! Middle school.

You have your outfit picked out. Your backpack is ready to go and you were in bed by 9:20pm. I think I'm more nervous than you....not bad nervous, just nervous. It's a big deal. You are riding the bus, changing classes, changing clothes for PE and going to be a lot further away from home. You will  meet so many new people and teachers and you are going to have some major sweaty pits in your grey dress that I'm really worried about.
These next 3 years lots of things will change. Friends will change, you will change. You will probably start talking to boys and hopefully not kissing them...
Ari, I love you. I know I drive you nuts and I freak out over stupid stuff, but just so you know, I will continue freaking out over stupid stuff for.ev.er.  Because I love you. You will always be my little girl. I will be protective and ask lots of annoying questions and why so and so isn't talking to you or you aren't talking to them. Just so we are clear, I will ask a lot of questions.
Remember to be kind. Be honest. Be strong. Be confident. Be a great friend, a good listener, and most importantly be yourself.  Don't forget deodorant after PE and don't shave the bottom of your head like I did in junior high.
I can't wait to hear Briggs ask "where did sissy goooo?" 500 times tomorrow.
Love you Lulu,
Meme
