Too Short?

Zeb said Lu's shorts are too short.
I think they are fine.
Should we retire the daisy dukes?

Week 35!

TWO weeks of school left!

Ari got some new summer clothes this week. She is now in size 14...the last size before moving up to the little ladies section. I bet next year we are the same height.

I'm just glad she'll snuggle with me and doesn't allow phones at dinner. I love that.

Week 34!

She wore my boots to school.

Love this outfit!
She is growing out of everything. Time to go shopping!

She had her very first solo. Which consisted of five words...she nailed it.

"And I will be your pouch"

And she finished her softball season, with a tough loss but what a great season. We ALL had a blast and lucky for us, Coaster Boy was the coach!
It's been a fun week. For Lu.

Week 33!

14 full days of school left
3 half days
bananas

This week Ari had another softball game...and won.
She got a 4 on her math(this was a big one for us)!
She stayed home sick on Friday (not sure if this was because she knew I wasn't working or not, either way, it was a great day spent together)
Here's to our last weeks in 2nd grade!!

Saturday, May 21, 2011

I'm having a hard time figuring out my camera settings...bare with me.

Ari learned Chess this week at school and brought home her very own board to teach me on!
Although, I thought it was Chest...not Chess.
Until today.

Week 31....woot woot

We flew home from Maryland on Monday! This was the fastest/craziest week!
Ari has cried twice this week about missing granddad and patti. She now wants her 9th birthday in Maryland with Titus and Tali. I told her that was a long shot.
She pitched her very first game yesterday...and struck 3 people out. I was amazed. She was so nervous and kept taking deep breaths on the mound. I could see her little shoulders move up and down from the bleachers. I loved seeing her pull through it and do so well. Not to mention, she hit the ball every single time she was up to bat. LOVE THAT.

Go Glory.

This week Ari had a new little pose, I asked her way she did it...she got mad at me for asking. It's starting...she is getting snappy...and by snappy I mean older.

2nd grade is almost over.
We completed the amazing treehopper report.

Week 30!

This little Lu got 100% on her spelling PLUS all her bonus words. I'm bragging because you all know how horrible my spelling is. :)

And even though the girl can spell, she's having some issues with subtraction. So we do math in the car now. Everywhere. We. Go. UGH. The funny thing is, I still use my fingers.

She asked us what puberty was! I was like where did you hear that word? She said in her bug video she was watching at school, they said the bugs went through puberty. That was a fun one to explain! Let's just say she knows was a period is now (no it's not the different stages an insect goes through...as Ari said, an egg, a pupa...) She also said I was molting, when my shoulders were pealing. The girl has bugs on the brain.

Week 27 AND 28 People!

Momma has been slackin!
These last two weeks have been super fun. Insects have arrived in Lulu's room. She is also doing a report on the TREEHOPPER (yah, I've never heard of them either and good luck finding a lot of info on the dang hopper). We've had a ton of softball, rained out games, and the girl has started choir and track and field.
We are sucking up every last little detail of 2nd grade.
Reports and all.

I love this girl more and more everyday. Never thought it was possible. And I never knew how fast she was going to grow up. I'm still hanging onto her love for stuffed animals, playing cheetahs and horses, and hopefully always sleeping with bearbear.
I'll take her pick of Spongebob over My Carly any day.

Week 26...of 2nd grade!

LOVE
Check out her dangly earings!

Great week!
Barely finish a book report in time.
Had lots of softball.
And now we are in our second day of (a very long) spring break for Lu.

Zeb did take her racing today!

25 weeks!

Love this one!
Crazy short week! Ari managed to only go to school 3 days!
Got 100% on her spelling and all the bonus words correct.
The apple doesn't fall far from the tree, my friends! HA!
She will not be getting pinched today!

Lulu's first softball practice...more on that, next.

24th week of 2nd grade!

Loved this week.
Lu has this new thing about being ready before all of us in the morning. Which is great.
She doesn't want to be called anything but Lulu or Lu. Not even mommacita! She doesn't want to be called Ari (by me anyway) and I have to say, I love that.

She said: This is my second favorite outfit
which only means....

This is her (new) favorite outfit
(She doesn't know yet...but I threw away those boots and leggings this weekend)

Time to go spring shopping.
Holy moly!
This girl is growing out of
EVERY.THING.

Week 22!

February is one of my favorite months!
I think Ari likes it too.

With her new helicopter (valentine's day #10)
Notice the socks?!??!

And a little pic of Salon Meme. Curls to sleek in only 1.5 hours!
Ari went back to ride the horses. This one (Chloe) smiled when I told her too. Nice horse.
