It's been a rough day. Really hard parenting day. Really hard lessons learned today. Parenting is so hard, and it's only going to get harder, but such a blessing!  And since Lu and her friends are now followers of this blog (which I love) I'm going to leave it at this.
Be kind to one another.
Be honest.
Be strong.

And we're off to Cali for my sweet cousin's wedding.
Ari has a flower girl to play.
And Briggs gets to meet a ton of people he hasn't ever met.

Sooooo Part 2

Our weekend wrapped up in a nutshell:
Mother's day tea at Lu's school
Race to the airport
Fly five hours
Get our car
Go through Chick-fil-a drive through (get 18 chickburgers)
Hotel
Grocery store run
Breakfast Buffet
Take a little dip in the pool
Bridal Tea
A little shopping
Rehearsal Dinner
See Double rainbow
Bonfire
Hotel
Buffet Breakfast. DO NOT FEED COLE FRUIT LOOPS.
Get ready for the wedding
Wedding
Reception
Veg out
Eat more
Sleep (barely)
Mother's day
Breakfast (three different casseroles. so good)
Enjoy doing nothing
Watch the boys play croquet
Drink a beer
Eat crab
Drink another beer
Got a new lens and amazing photo book (spoiled)
Color with Lu
Play cards
Sleep (5 hours)
Wake up to a rooster
Drive to the airport
Fly home

Family is so important. At the end of the day, it's how we love eachother that matters. Nothing else.

Lessons Learned

• Big dogs ralph (aka up chuck) big! Especially right in the middle of Easter dinner. Thank you Bogey.
• Lulu learned how to change a diaper...all on her own. Cole was very helpful though, I have to say. (lifting his legs and all, see below)

I took 189 pictures this weekend.
I didn't want to bore you with them all...
So here is a little glimpse in our three day.
It was fun.

Up. Dates.

I learned how to keep score in baseball.

I mean like really keep score.

Ari now wears a size 8 in shoes! We can share her cleats if I ever decide to play a quick game of softball.

2.5 is the average times a happily married couple does the deed a week. The .5 is when the kids walk in, or the doorbell rings, etc...just an FYI if you were confused.

And lastly, I'm about to go bon-kers if the sun doesn't come out for more than 30 minutes.

I need the sun.

Lessons Learned

• Ikea can make a home come together
• I love me a birthday
• I have the greatest family and friends a girl could ask for, hence why I love me a birthday
• And as you all know now, I can pick my nose with my tongue!
• Ice cream cake is the best tradition for birthdays
• Coaster Boy and I can hang a light...sort of
• Kissing for six seconds everytime you leave or see your spouse is a fun little dare. You should try it. Six seconds! No ass grabbing or booby cupping though...boys. Just kissing. 6 seconds.

Lessons Learned

• Spring cleaning. LOVE IT.
• Yoga. LOVE IT.
• Playing Monopoly with Coaster Boy and Lu. LOVE IT.
• Finding a perfect renter. LOVE IT.

Some weekends are best spent relaxing.
As you can see, I'm dominating Monopoly.
Lu is a close second.

• Friday night photos shoots. Before dinner. Not awesome
• Red Robin on a Friday night with the besties, always a nice way to end the week
• My house is still not clean
• We miss Jackie!
• Wedding lights make Lulu's room "feel like Italy"
• Super Bowl = 2 more lbs

• I'm one of those parents that yell from the sidelines...a lot.
• I love a clean house, not a halfway clean house. A clean house. My house is still not clean.
• Shuffle board is not Coaster Boy's strong suit
• I am MY biggest hurdle

This weekend was FULL.

Somethings to remember.

• It's never as bad as it seems
• The Apple Cup was a success. Zeb now will be delivering a blizzard to my brother once a week for a year...any time my brother ask. Which positively means...I will be eating way more blizzards this year
• Family Christmas Photo Shoots....always take a little longer than expected.

• OLLO, means hello
• Sleepovers...sometimes don't include the overs
• Sometimes moving a lamp and hanging some hooks can complete a room
• Thanksgiving meals with friends are always fun and filling
• I am my biggest problem

yes, this is me (several months ago) at the mall...with two different boots on. uhhh huhh, yep...that is me. Like I said, I am my biggest problem.

Lessons Learned from the Weekend

Doing nothing but sitting on the couch, visiting with family, and eating a lot will cure any  bad week and will also make you feel like a bump on a log. I need to start up hot yoga again....ASAP.

Lessons learned from my very laid back, beautiful filled weather, fallish weekend.

• I love October in Seattle
• Ari could never ever have too many pairs of shoes
• A pumpkin patch at the farm that we got married...will melt my little heart
• Ari needs a sibling
• Pumpkins that have little bumps all over them are uncarvable

• When all else falls...an Irish bar is the ticket for a bachelorette party
• Coaster Boy and Lulu can servive perfectly great without me
• Nonnie will buy little Lu just about anything she wants (we are going on our 5th betta fish people)
